- Where I Started: I completed a Cert II & III in Information Technology during Year 11 through a VET course in Australia, which overlaps with CompTIA A+ and Net+ material. I chose to learn the concepts without taking the exams, as these certs weren’t essential for my goals.
Beware of cert farms that promise a fast track to a career in IT with A+, Net+, Sec+, and CEH in six weeks. Certs are helpful, but you don’t need five in five weeks or even five months. Build a solid foundation first.
